Connect! Bringing Faith to Life — Saint Mary’s Press
Grades 6-8. Connect! Bringing Faith to Life is 3-year interactive program that presents the core teachings of the Catholic faith to young people (sixth, seventh, and eighth graders) in a way that helps them connect learning with living. Active and engaging lessons encourage honest reflection and meaning making. Using an accompaniment model of forming young people in the faith, this program meets them where they are and makes important, relevant connections that bring faith to life!
Each year of the program explores the four doctrinal pillars of the Catholic faith (The Creed, Liturgy and Sacraments, Christian Morality and Justice, and Prayer). The third year adds seven chapters of focused study on Church history. The students access the content for this study in a separate student book created just for this topic. Each year the young people will encounter additional chapters that explore key themes and passages from Scripture, using the Bible as their primary text. Young people will not simply read about the Bible. They will read the Bible itself.
One student book for a comprehensive 3-year program! It’s easy to navigate with color-coded sections and roadmaps to see what’s covered in each year. Online resources, links, videos, interactive eLearning lessons, are all included.
Connect! Bringing Faith to Life (©2022) has been found to be in conformity with the Catechism of the Catholic Church.
