Text on the back of the card:
Saint Thomas Aquinas
1225-1274
Feast Day -- January 28
Saint Thomas Aquinas was big and didn't talk much. Because of that, when he was a university student, other students called him "dumb ox." But Thomas became one of the wisest men in the history of the Church. He wrote a study of Catholic teaching called the Summa Theolgica. He believed that we become wise by what we learn, but also through our faith in God. Thomas was also a teacher and consultant to the Pope. People still study his writings.
Patron of students, theologians, and schools. Nearly sixty of Saint Thomas' works still exist.
Dear God, point out the beginning of my study, direct its progress and help in the completion. (Saint Thomas' prayer.)
