With the Catholic Children's Bible as the core text, children will be immersed in Scripture from Day 1. Each chapter is anchored to a Scripture story. Inside the Activity Sheet, children will dive into the Bible in order to complete the activity. Catechists, no matter their experience level, can quickly feel comfortable leading children. Each lesson is clearly laid out, along with the four different parts of the lesson, all with specific suggested steps, activities, and points to cover. Out-of-the-seat activities will engage children and core teaching adds deeper layers of meaning as catechists unpack the activity with their classes. Family Pages bring the chapter themes to life in fun, family-friendly ways. And featured persons of faith provide inspiring Catholic heroes for focus. Each child receives his or her own Discover Kit, containing everything they need. The kit includes 20 Core Activity Sheets and 8 Liturgical Season Lessons, a softcover copy of the Catholic Children's Bible, a unique interactive activity book, and a backpack so they can easily pack their materials to bring home and share with their parents. Free Online course

Purchase of the print “kit” from Communication Center includes access to an online course. The online course includes video lessons for children to use at home with their student worksheets and Bibles. These are interactive videos produced by Saint Mary’s with one of their expert catechists teaching the lesson in the book. Parents can oversee and participate, but the child could do this self-directed.

Customers who purchase Discover! will receive an email from Communication Center with a Saint Mary's Press digital activation form. This can be completed and returned to Saint Mary's if and when program administrators or catechists want access to the online course. Perfect for programs that have to switch to at-home learning on short notice.
