Sophia Institute Teacher Guides — Sophia Institute for Teachers

A series of supplemental Teacher Guides that enable educators to go beyond the limitations of current textbooks by offering a more comprehensive, multi-day approach to teaching the topic at hand. Each guide is teacher-written and classroom-tested, and includes everything the teacher needs to teach the subject, including background reading, student homework, research activities, assessment tools, class exercises and more. Each lesson plan is designed to supplement, not replace. Each guide features 10-12 academically rigorous, supplemental lesson plans. Each plan follows the USCCB curriculum framework. Future guides will cover salvation history, the Commandments, Ecclesiology, Catholic Social Teaching, and more. Guides include lessons at three grade levels: elementary, middle school, and high school, with each lesson clearly marked with an intended audience/reading level. Each lesson is designed in a flexible, modular format. Sacred Art and Catechesis Sets help impart lesson content through beautiful works of art. (©2014-18)
