Developed for Curriculum Framework Course 1: The Revelation of Jesus Christ in Scripture.

Invites students to encounter Jesus Christ, the living Word of God through the Bible. The purpose of this course is to give the young people a "general" appreciation of the Scriptures as the living Word of God. Through their study of this course, they will encounter the living Word of God, Jesus Christ. They will be helped to understand how God reveals himself to us in history, Tradition and in Sacred Scripture. Jesus Christ will be introduced as the high point of God's revelation. They will explore the Bible, authored by God through the inspiration of the Holy Spirit, become familiar with the sections of the Bible, and learn how to read the Bible. Particular attention will be given to the four accounts of the Gospel, through which they will be helped to grow in knowledge and love Jesus Christ in a more personal way.

Chapters include sections titled Attend and Reflect; Hear the Story; Embrace the Vision; Think It Through; Judge and Act; and Prayer Reflection. The Credo Series focuses on the formation of the students as people of faith, with an equal emphasis on learning and living. Each chapter facilitates personal reflection and offers prayer and meditative exercises. Each volume in the series also has a strong social justice theme running throughout. 8 x 10, 272 pages.
