The eight chapters of First Communion for Children are:

1. We Belong to God’s Holy Family
2. We Gather in God’s House
3. We Ask for God’s Mercy and Give Thanks to God
4. We Listen to God’s Word
5. We Prepare a Meal and a Sacrifice
6. We Remember Jesus’ Sacrifice
7. We Gather at the Lord’s Table
8. We Go Forth to Serve God’s Family

Each illustrated chapter includes opening and closing prayers, two Bible stories that introduce Catechism concepts, reflection questions, Growing in Faith, which helps children apply their learning, Your Faith at Home, which asks kids to share their faith with their families, Community Time, which asks kids to carry what they've learned to their community in order to become the missionary disciples Pope Francis wants them to be, activities to reinforce learning. 

Colorful illustrations by renowned artist Jeff Albrecht engage children and help make the doctrine understandable to them. The book includes a complete glossary. Paperback, 11 x 8.5, 112 pages. (©2020)
