This 98-minute DVD is a collection of six video programs exploring the Beatitudes, the Gospels and gospel values for intermediate school-aged children. Beatitudes for Young People Part I offers dramatic scenes involving Nicky and his friends revealing the beatitudes in action. Particular attention is paid to the second, third, fourth and eighth beatitudes. (15 minutes) Beatitudes for Young People Part II shows Nicky and his friends further revealing the Beatitudes in action, particularly the first, fifth, sixth and seventh beatitudes. (16 minutes) The Gospel with a Smile is a trio of programs with storyteller Dennis Dewey proclaiming gospel stories on each of the theological virtues and Father Jim Vlaum offering brief sermons: Faith covers Jesus calming the sea, the wise and foolish virgins, and doubting Thomas (17 minutes); Hope tells the biblical stories of Abraham and Sarah, the big catch of fish and Pentecost (18 minutes); Charity includes the gospel stories of the lost son, the washing of the feet and the feeding of the five thousand (19 minutes).
