We Believe, click on the Preschool-8 School Programs tab at the top of this page.
A program that is centered in Jesus, rooted in the Trinity and lived in the Church. This curriculum engages children at each level of maturity, helps teachers with practical planning, and strengthens the parish link with the family. The program also emphasizes prayer and liturgy, saints and Catholic profiles, and Catholic devotions.
Each
Student Book is filled with real-life photography and inspirational scriptural art that appeals to children. A unique three-step lesson process echoes the pedagogy of Jesus by first gathering, then teaching, then inviting a response. Lessons are clearly written, logically presented, and easy for children to grasp. Each and every lesson develops four content statements taken from the four pillars of the Catechism. The student books integrate Scripture, Catholic social teaching, and Catholic vocabulary throughout.
Spiral-bound
Catechist Guides include one weekly wraparound lesson plan for each chapter. An
Overviewsummarizes the chapter,
Catechist Background explains the core teaching of the lesson,
Catechist Development offers articles for the personal faith enrichment of the catechist.
Chapter Stories help bring lessons to life.
Connections helps the catechists to incorporate evangelization, vocations, social teaching, stewardship and more into their lessons.
Other program components include reproducible
Assessment Books that offer standard tests along with creative alternative assessment ideas,
CD-ROM Test Generators and Resources with testing options and more teacher resources,
Music CDs that incorporate liturgical music from Oregon Catholic Press to foster children’s participation in parish worship.
Review and Resource Books for each child provide additional activity and project worksheets.
