Growing in Love, K-8, OSV Curriculum

An elementary series for Catholic education about relationships. The series reaches grades K through 8 for both Catholic school and parish religious education programs. Student Activity Books for Levels K-2 feature three activities per lesson and a removeable family booklet. Levels 3-8 student texts contain seven thematic chapters and a Prayers and Resources section at the back. Each chapter contains introductory, development and application material. Lessons incorporate doctrine, Scripture, worship and prayer. Each chapter also has a direct connection to the home and family. Teacher/Catechist Manuals for Levels K-2 contain lesson plans and optional features for use with the student activity books. Levels 3-8 are wraparound editions with lesson plans and optional activities around reduced-size pages of the student books. The Family Resource is used in conjunction with the student activity book. It supports and encourages families in educating their children especially in the task of conveying sensitive information on reproductive biology, puberty, sexuality and childbirth. Everything is taught within the context of Catholic teaching and strong family values.
